Clown Numbers: Which Clown Phone Numbers Are Real
The only clown numbers we found with a named owner are Wrinkles the Clown's contact line, the Terrifier 3 hotline for Art the Clown and the two Pennywise lines from the film It. Only Wrinkles' line has a report from the past 12 months: a YouTube call in August 2026 reached a voicemail greeting. It is a real performer's line, so we do not suggest calling any of them. Which clown phone numbers are real?
These are the clown numbers we could trace to a source: the owner's own page, a film's marketing team or a named news site. The newest dated report is a YouTube call to Wrinkles' line in August 2026; for the others it is September 2024 or older. An old line may be switched off, or given to someone new.

Art the Clown's phone number: the Terrifier 3 hotline
Art the Clown's line is 772-837-7439. Bloody Disgusting and Cineverse launched it as an official hotline on 4 September 2024, ahead of the film's release on 11 October (Bloody Disgusting). Yahoo reported that callers heard Art's honking (Yahoo).
An Instagram post embedded on the Bloody Disgusting page said to call or text "scare" to join a promotional message list run by Cineverse and the film, and that message and data rates may apply. One r/terrifier thread asks about a text from Art the Clown that arrived after a call; we could not read it, so we have not confirmed that. The newest report we saw is from September 2024. A film promotion can close without notice.
Pennywise's phone number: the 2017 It lines
Two numbers, 913-535-6280 and 207-536-8474, played a Derry Police Department voicemail about the missing children of the fictional Maine town and its 7 p.m. curfew, until Pennywise cut in. They belonged to an Alamo Drafthouse scavenger hunt for the 2017 film It, and Vanyaland reported that they still worked that Halloween (Vanyaland).
Vanyaland noted that 913 is a Kansas area code. A 2023 list says both lines no longer work (The Ghost In My Machine), so a call could end with a stranger. Our movie phone numbers hub tells the wider film story.
Wrinkles' contact line: 407-734-0254
His own website names the number as his contact line, a listing we last reviewed in Oct 2026. He publishes it himself as a real Florida performer, and reports describe a voicemail greeting. The man behind the act told the Daily Mail in 2019 that callers had threatened him (Daily Mail). Please do not call it to harass him, and we do not recommend calling it at all.

Which clown numbers on lists are not clown numbers?
Often the list is the problem. One top-ranking article, "10 scary clown numbers", has ten entries, and only Wrinkles' line belongs to a clown (Tuko). The other nine are tied to other stories: a creepy voicemail, a spoofed number, a number some link to Five Nights at Freddy's, Sadako, Carrie, the red room puzzle line, a crying man's recording, the devil's number and the echo test line.
The same article says Wrinkles will come to your home to scare your children. That is not supported: in the 2019 documentary the creator says the scare videos used actors and he never went to anyone's house, as Wikipedia summarises it. Is there a killer clown phone number?
Searches for a killer clown phone number, FaceTime number or texting number mostly lead to apps, not to phone lines. "Video Call from Killer Clown", by Dualverse, Inc., is a free entertainment app with in-app purchases, and a second app, "Call Killer Clown", also appeared in our App Store search (App Store). We found no phone line behind them.
How to stay safe around clown numbers
None of these clown numbers meets our bar for suggesting a call. One belongs to a real person who told the Daily Mail that callers had threatened him. Another came with a sign-up for promotional texts, and rates may apply. The old Pennywise lines may now ring a stranger.
If a call upsets you or a child, hang up, do not call back and tell an adult you trust. Blocking your own number when you call is legal (FCC), but never use it to scare someone. Why clown numbers keep coming back
A clown with a phone number may feel closer than a clown on screen, which could be one reason clown numbers keep coming back. Wrinkles' stickers spread his number across Florida in 2015, the It promotion followed in 2017 and the Terrifier 3 hotline in 2024. The Art and Pennywise lines were film marketing, and we found no announced end date for either.
